    Alaska Range late August
    From a backcountry trip in Denali National Park and Preserve.
    All critiques welcome. I am so enamored with these mountains, that my obectivity is probably clouded.

    Love the dappled light and all the layers. A great scene for sure. I would try to tone down the foreground and fix the line of darks lights that is almost in the center. I like the contrast of golds and blues in the back. Must have been awesome in person.

    Well done John. Would not have even thought it was an HDR. Paul summed up the good points of the image well.

    Paul and Robert, thanks for your expert input! I tried a quick set of curves and layer masks to tone down the foreground as suggested, but I'll have to go back to the raws to redo this one when I get more time.

    Paul and Robert hit this one pretty well. Your re-post is a touch better. I'd say you caught the majesty of those mountains very well.

    Hey John,
    Have to agree with all the above......very nice layering of the mountains........and while some may wish for more sky......I feel the stars are the mountains and different textures. I like the pop of the first post......so just a few tweaks will really make it shine. Very nicely composed!
