Tried a 15 merge photo this time to try and get the whole orchid in focus.

This is really good Lady Jackie...I like it as presented...no more, no less...:D this is well composed and executed...the focal point and depth of field range play well and are balanced...good show....Print it and frame it for a spot in your wall...:D:) Proud of you...:)

Hi Jackie. Yes this looks better to me. But, I can see bands of OOF areas which may be due to the f2.8 aperture. I would suggest a much smaller aperture on this say f16 , which wouldn't require as many shots to cover the subject.

Jackie, I think you did a really good job with this and I like this image very much. Dan's idea sounds good.

Hey Jackie, this is really nice and like the angle and light. High key works well.

I'm loving it! I do think Dan's onto something with the change in aperture but this is so gorgeous I had to look twice to see what he was talking about as my eye didn't even register it at first.

Gorgeous color and drop dead beautiful against the white. We're going to convert Ed yet!

Having remembered the first image I would say that his presentation is better.

Did I ever tell you how much I like orchids???

    The lighting really works.
