    Taken at Agua Caliente, AZ earlier this month (spring break). I could have gotten lower but this was an early stop in the day and the ground was covered in crap soo.... it didn't happen but I like the results.

    Camera: Canon EOS 30D
    Lens: Canon EF 100-400mm
    Aperture: f/9
    Shutter Speed: 1/250
    Exposure Bias: 0ev
    ISO: 400
    Focal Length: 235mm
    Full frame, flash w/o BB @ 1/4

    My monitor at work is not calibrated, but I can clearly see the calibration strip at the bottom here. I feel maybe the darks are just too dark? I adore the purple face and the yellow eye. Such beautiful contrast. Nice positioning in the frame too. :)

    Good looking duck Doug !!

    Sound reasoning for the angle and not bad since you got the reflection. Water bg looks real good and made a fine exposure ... difficult on these guys. Could have some blacks a Dmin on the breast part but lots of detail on all others. Fine image I like it a lot !!

    Hi Doug - love that eye and head angle is good - blacks are close but look ok on my screen.
    Id be tempted to crop tighter - pano crop cutting some from the top and bottom - id crop the reflection out.
