    Yes, I know is not the best clean bg, but I had to settle with this busy bg, well, it looks environmental, and I guess is fine. This picture was taken early in the morning. This birds are very shy but this guy allowed me to get close.

    While I would have preferred frontal lighting, this still works for me as you have a nice catchlight in the eye and its color is clear. I like it as it is, though a fill flash would have probably helped a little. THanks. :)

    Amazing looking fellow! I think a bit of fill flash would have been great to lift the colours. But as you said, the environmental feel works quite nicely!

    Very interesting looking bird. The surrounding foliage doesn't bother me as you have a nice view of the important parts and even the obscured parts aren't cut by the edge of the frame. Toning down the bright branches in the BG would be an option. I find myself wanting more detail in the shadow areas - as already mentioned fill flash at capture would have achieved this well but a Shadows/Highlights adjustment may improve the image as it is
