One from back in November. An 8 mile paddle was required for this shot. I was hoping to get back out while these were in the Everglades but conditions were never right again.

There were 5 total and it was one of the coolest sights in the Everglades for me. Also saw thousands of shorebirds and a few immature bald eagles. It was a wonderful morning.

    Thanks for looking and critiquing,
    Paul

Nice pose, colors, and details. I can't decide if I like or dislike the shorebirds in the BG. There a couple dark spots in the green part of the BG that are a tad distracting.

To photograph a wild flamingo in the United States is an amazing treat. This is a beauty Paul, with a nice sense of surroundings with the shoreline, mangroves, and other shorebirds OOF in the background. I like the moment capture too, with the neck down and the bird's bill just above the water. Fine work!

Well done on including the environment here. The flamingo pops nicely.

Nice light and great sharpness. I like the shorebirds as well. Would have liked the bird turned slightly more towards the viewer.

Paul, I don't think many people appreciate how difficult it was to even glimpse a flamingo at ENP no less get a close, clear image. How did you know you would see them after paddling 8 miles?

Thanks everyone. I will fix those dark spots in the green. Susan, i had read several reports of them in the area, but it was a guess. The biggest difficulty was getting a good tide in the early morning light.
