Took this last summer and thought I would share it with the group and hope to receive your criticism on this image. These guys are very much fun to try to capture.

They are fun, although difficult, to try and capture. Nice portrait with good BG. Seems like it could use a little tweak of contrast and color but that could be personal taste.

Mac, this is terrific, great clean BG with good colors, eye contact and perfectly symmetrical pose, with excellent compo. Way to go!
Contrast is good to me, but I don't like high contrast.

Thank you all. Peter, no criticism meant, but I can't tell the difference in your repost and my original. I think it may be my eyes as they are not as young and sharp as they used to be. Thanks Fabs as that is high praise coming fron a talent such as you.

    Mac,

Peter's repost does accentuate sharpness and a touch of contrast increase. Both of which work well here IMO.

Great composition and placement in the frame and stellar clean BG. Way to go.

I think you did a fine job on this portrait, Mac. The antelope is well placed in the frame, the BG is pleasant and clean. I think both versions work, though I see a bit more punch in Peter's PP. If you have PS CSx, and you would like to try an "auto s curve" - make a duplicate of your layer, go to curves and choose linear contrast from the drop down menu and see if it appeals to you by toggling it on/off with the little eye icon. From there you can tweak the curve as you like.
    Nice job.

Nice portrait. Very sharp and a nice clean background. I like the repost. Has a little more warmth to the image.
