    Default Inquisitive Junco

Although common, I love these little guys.

    Taken with Canon 50d, 300 2.8 with 2 TC, ISO 1600, f/7.1, 1/640 sec.

Was a shady day but the dogwood branches create a nice coloured BG.

    Thanks for your comments.

Hi Natalie - very nice - sharp - exposure spot on and a gorgeous BG - well done.

Id crop some of the OOF perch from the bottom - giving t more of a pano feel.

    keep em coming :)

Natalie, Excellent image -The BG colors really add alot to this-your Junco is tack sharp- Agree w/ Lance about the crop- I see just a bit of noise. I really like the pose and that you managed to get him off the ground. Well done!

Perfect pose, nice BG, and a sharp bird. What more could you ask for! I would suggest running some noise reduction on the BG as it looks a bit noisy. Good job!

Wonderful little birdie portrait if you asked me. :) Really cute disposition, fab background though seems a touch noisy and very sharp Junco. Maybe select the background and run some noise reduction over it. THanks for posting this Natalie. :)

Hi Natalie, I like your subject and pose. I felt there was a bit of color caste on the bird and log so i selected both and ran a levels adjustment over them and came up with this...

    Hi Dave,
Thanks very much. The whites on the bird are clearer for sure. Very kind of you. Am looking into getting PS and it will be fun to fool around with.

Beautiful shot Natalie and lovely BG. Might crop a little off the OOF perch. Tack sharp bird, but run some NR on it. Really nice eye level contact. Wherabouts in Ontario are you?
