    Default Running Wild

My wife is house sitting for her boss this week. I visited her yesterday as it was her birthday and we were going to spend the evening together. Part of the evening was taken up with walking the dogs in the woods behind the house. I wanted to capture "Jack" running as he seemed to love it so much. In the house he seemed lethargic and sad as I'm sure he misses his master though when outside he came alive, taking off in wild dashes through the woods surrounding the home.

The image above was an experiment playing around with slow shutter speeds and panning. I'm not sure the weirdness works so I'm looking for input.

    Camera Info:
    E-3; ZD14-54mm @47mm; 1/5 sec @ f8; Aperture Priority; ISO 100

    RAW Data:
aRGB color space; 6000K WB and -1 tint; +.2 exposure compensation

    CS2 Data:
    curves enhancement; sharpening; cropped

I like it. One thing I do with images like this is to over sharpen them beyond imagination. I think it really increases the feeling of motion.

I use smart sharpen at 500% and move the radius way up to about halfway or so.

Lovely capture Richard and I too like the blur effect you have in this image. Looks like the outdoors really agrees with him and hope you will have more to share with us.
