    Found this male Palm Warbler at Viera of course he was on the fence and not a nice branch.

    40D, 500 f/4 + 1.4TC, 1/1600 at f/6.3, Aperture Priority, Evaluative Metered - 1/3, Raw, ISO 400, Handheld,

    GReat details in the bird. Lovely BG and I kind of don't mind the wire. Though old, rusty would have been more appealing., :)

    I personally do not mind the wire, I agree that a rusty old version or a nice solid branch would be better. But its not a major distraction or deterrent from the photo for me.

    Nice Shot Don. very good detail, but perhaps a little oversharpenend on the face. I am typically in favour of barbwire or fencepost perches, but it doesn't seem as fitting for more of a forest-dwelling species like this warbler. It does however, give a good perspective of just how small these little guys are!

    Nice image with that human element. We cannot avoid it most of the times.
    Sharpening looks a bit much.

    The bird and the background looks very nice.
    He/she should have chosen a nicer perch. :)
