    I love the way you included the environment here Chas, it makes a nice setting for the hawk. The vegetation in the lower part of the image frames the hawk nicely and draws attention to your subject. The flowers add a nice touch to the BG. I would have liked a slight head turn on the part of the hawk. I would suggest that you accentuate the catchlight in the eye in PS to improve the eye contact. The image needs a little CCW rotation IMHO.

    I like the angle and eye contact, would sharpen the bird more and blur the BG a bit.

    Hi - agree with the above comments and would add I would try and lighten and sharpen the eye a tad.
