    Brown Pelican
    Bolsa Chica Wetlands, Huntington Bch., Calif.
    Taken on a rare calm afternoon at the local wetlands in some sweet light a few months ago.

    Nikon D200 AFS 600 F4 1.4 TC
    F6.3 ISO 320 1/1250

    Pretty much perfect. Was this made to the right of the foot bridge? I agree with Alex' suggestion on the rotation.

    Very nice pose and colors.
    I find it quite soft on my screen. It especially visible on the eye and the crest.

    James, this is great light. The composition is simple and pleasing. I am hoping your pivoted the body and got the vertical version too. It does look a little soft, could use some sharpening. Well done.
