    Default White Reddish Egret

    1DM2n, 600mm... Almost full frame

Home from another busy weekend! This was probably my one true target bird on my trip to Florida, a white morph Reddish Egret in breeding condition (coloured lores and legs etc.).. I had managed to find a few white birds, but none with good bare-part colour - until I went to Tigertail Beach in Marco Island, and found this stunning bird!

    Happy Shooting!

If I wanted to be super fussy I would say a little crop off the top and a little more space on the RHS. But it is razor sharp and super IQ. Great pose too Brandon. :) Gorgeous is about the one word summing it up for me.

Super exposure and action with good detail. A bit to low in the frame for me and ditto space on rhs. Also the image looks a bit skew. All fixable so great shot well done

Beautiful specimen. I like the colours, pose, trailing plumes and BG. Gives the impression of needing a touch of CW rotation. A bit more space on right mentioned.

Extremely well done. I also think a little CW rotation will help. (a) It will make the waves parallel (b) it will make the egret looking downwards...more focussed....IMO (c) when you crop after rotation, it will remove the negative space behind the right wing

As it is too its a magnificient shot. congrats !

    Brandon:

A beautiful bird. I agree with the above comments in general. I might want a bit more room at bottom for the impression of more room for the virtual feet.

I would suggest you post this at the full allowable size of 1024 x 800, it would be a real knockout.

Thanks for sharing. As you can see from my avatar, I am fond of reddish egrets!

    Cheers

    Randy
