A Swallow-tailed Gull on the way home after a night of feeding (they do feed at night), early on a sunny morning, Genovesa Island, Galapagos. I think these are elegantly beautiful birds, and could not stop photographing them.

Great banking pose, fanned tail and eye contact. I would sharpen the bird more and there is a magenta cast on my monitor. I would also lighten the midtones a bit.

You can see it quite well at the shadow on the tail. I'm assuming your monitor is calibrated? I've noticed that several images posted here made with the 50D have magenta casts. I have no idea why.

Great pose. I would also suggest mid-tone lightening. THat water is so clear and inviting. Well done. :)
