    This nice fellow was imaged while out with James on the Hooptie Deux, last friday.

    D300 500mm f/4 at f/6.8 ISO 800 -1 EV 15% crop for composition. Desatted reds a bit to keep from blowing that channel. Minor clean up on beach.

    Gitzo with Wimb V2, standing in 18" of water.

    Sharp and a nice wing position but the shade above sunlit beach below motif does not work for me. You needed to get up earlier

    I like the pose and exposure of the bird. I wish the underside of the near wing were more visible, would sharpen the bird more and lighten the BG.
