    They say this is the most photographed scene in the Galapagos, and I believe it. Taken at 8:30am, January 29 from the top of Bartolome Island looking west at Santiago Island, 330 ft above sea level. Of note, the redish brown lava flow across the water on the right is only 110 years old, while the lava around it is millions of years old. Really worth it to start before sunrise to have this great light. Sorry to keep sharing Galapagos pictures, I'll run out of them eventually, although I did take over 6,000 in 9 days.

    Canon 50D, ISO 200, 1/100, AV, 28-300mm at 28mm, handheld.

    This is just sensory overload material Hard to look away One amazing place, I hope the usage impact is minimal !!!
