    Default Mountain Lion Escape

Back from a recent trip to the mountains of Montana...Mountain Lion in a tree jumping for land! He made it..so did I!! My flash seemed to worked just right... the snow was HEAVY and focusing was difficult and as such lost quite a few photos (too dark). Hope you like this one! Some adjustments in Photoshop : some cropping; removed a couple of snow flakes that blurred the image and lighting adjustment (even this one was a little dark).

    Very nice, Michael.
Was this at Triple D, was this Andy?
Luckily the eyes are not facing you, otherwise red eye is the consequence of using flash in mammals.

    Nicely done Michael,
I like the action captured...the composition and framing is dead on...I like the use of the rock on the lower right side of the frame as the anchor point...looking forward to your next one...

This is a well executed image of a a difficult subject! The leap in full conditions is very dramatic. Nicely done!

A remarkably good capture given the difficult circumstances.

Certainly works for me! Would have been even better if the animal was suspended mid-air not touching but heck, still a fantastic shot!

    Saby,

Andy is one of the captive cats at Triple D game farm in Montana.

I like how the shot was setup and executed!

Superb timing to capture the take off, as cats are extrememly quick and agile, and dont give you any hint that they are going to spring. Congrats on an outstanding image.
