    Great exposure. Great BG and good comp. Pity the feet are not 100% visible. would also like to see the perch more in focus. Light direction not the best but you did great with it. PLeasing image well done

    Very nice colours around the eye and bill, Scott. I would have probably gone for a wider aperture to try and blur out the BG a bit more and maybe used some flash to open up the shadows a little. The railings obscuring the foot and causing the sharp line in the BG are a bit of a distraction. Keep them coming.

    Scott, I'm envious you captured a little blue heron with such pretty breeding colors and I like the background. A touch of noise reduction would actually blur it a little more if that's something you'd like to try. Too bad about the perch but you get what you can at Wako!

    Definately beautiful breeding plumage; but it's a tricolored.
