I like this different view of a pelican, Zenon. The blurred wings act as a good frame for the sharp body, bill and head. BG looks slightly underexposed which is nice. Did you use flash to fill in the bird or was it just reflection off the water? I think the dark areas can stand a bit of shadow/highlight adjustment and maybe a little burning on the bright areas of the bill. Posting all you tech details can help us offer more suggestions. I like the water drip coming off the tip of the bill.
Yes I was just going over the guidelines about posting the tech details. Not used to that. I have to leave right away but I will dig it out later today. I did not use a flash. A person was cleaning fish and feeding the non edible parts to this bird. It kept coming back so it gave me several chances at it. Thanks for the other feedback.
Well that surprised me. Looks like I had the 24-105 on. I never bird with that lens. I must have had it on during that moment.

This image does have the look of a wider lens, very cool effect. I'll second Tony's critique. Well done in taking advantage of the situation presented to you.
