Looking at the window at Bodie it jogged my memory of a shot I took there. This car has been well photographed by many and I've seen used in numerous places. You can't resist shooting it when you see it. Bodie is a neat place to shoot and tests your eye.
This was originally shot in color and converted in Silver Efex and a color filter was added. In Nik Color Efex I ran a Bleach Bypass filter over it. From there I dodged and burned to subdue brighter areas and bring up some in shade.
Dave, Sounds like a great place for a visit. I love the conversion and the bleach bypass is one of my favs. I also find myself having to tweak the high-key areas. You did a great job w/ the effect and vignette w/ border. Nice perspective!

Hi Dave. Great to see another image from Bodie. It is a photographer's and artist's paradise. I have several shots of this old car, but none as nice as this one. Good job with the PP!
Thanks Denise and Kerry. I've been to Bodie twice, a few years apart. The first time I was there for only 2 hours and the second time I was there all morning. As Kerry said it's a paradise for artists and photographers and I heartily agree. Whenever I return to California I plan to stop by again....
Two very minor things, Dave. I think it could use a slight CW rotation - really very minor. I also think if it were mine I'd clone over the really dark circle at the top of the right fender.
The rest is gorgeous. Your treatment is so realistic and, like Michael said, I instantly thought Bonnie and Clyde.
