    Default Yellowstone Elk

I started out with a crummy image of an Elk that I shot in Yellowstone NP-let me qualify this image by saying-I really just started up photography when I shot this-So I will post the original to give you an idea of what I did. The end result was made by using almost every tool in PS (lol) I did a poster affect, orton action, illustrated effect, color efex filter etc.....
I was going to add rain but I thought it was too much.

And you were right! Yousa that's making lemonade out of lemons!

If this were mind, I think I'd clone the stump out just because of its proximity to the elk's backside. I also think you could tone down the poster effect on the animal and leave it on all the environment and have a totally different other image. Nice going, Denise!

"To boldly go, where no one has gone before..." ;) This is very interesting and I like it. It has a surreal quality to it. That eye is haunting.

I am going to Yellowstone in June, can't wait to go back and take pictures with all the current gear. :D Thanks for sharing.

Kerry, You are so lucky! I wish I were going back-When I went I didn't even know about exposure or aperatures. I hope to go back someday -
