Had a chance to get images of a uncommon Central Louisiana visitor today. Comments and critiques appreciated.

    Thanks,

Stunning but for the two big dust spots... Sharp, and I love how you placed the bird against the light area of the background. Actually, you could have been an inch or so higher. All in all, well done. Not a bda winter visitor!

Great find and light. Agree on the dust spots and I would crop a bit off the top.

You got a nice pose from this guy with a little less than optimum light angle. A little shadow highlight might bring out the eclipsed side a bit more.

A lot of folks would probably say it would be too tight, but I would crop some off the left to move the stick further into the corner. Of course, if you have it, you could add some to the bottom at the same time to achieve the same thing.

There are a couple big dust bunnies upper right and lower left that need to be taken care of.

I'm undecided on the background. I would probably clone the lower green over with gray to match the middle so that there is only one transition and not a gray band down the middle.

Jim, awesome find and capture. I had an opportunity last year of one at Lacassine, but didn't get this quality.

Love the tones in the background, an exquisite bird.

What a colourful flycatcher - beautifully composed and excellent exposure. I don't think I would have noticed the dust spots if Artie hadn't made mention!!

Jim, Great shot. This one really stood out to me as I ran through today's images on birdphotographers.net.
Great color and pose. I like it a lot.
