    Default Prairie Dog in trouble

Living in Boulder, CO offers plenty of open space trails, and there are some prairie dog towns right long very busy trails so I could get in close and see what life is like in the dog town. I got a few nice shots of behaviors I wanted, but for the first hour the light was very harsh. This shot isn't what I call technically perfect but the expression and body language makes it very interesting to me. Reminds me of a little rascals moment, but in reality this little lady was just stuffing her face. Tell me what you think.

    Jared,
The pose is nice. I like the expression. Unfortunately you had some harsh light to deal with. I like the inclusion of the shadow here.

    Cheers,

Pose and details look good, fill flash might have helped with the light. I would blur the BG more.

Agree with the above suggestions. To me the expression looks as if she is trying not to laugh at the photographer. LOL ;)

Agree with Ed ... she is laughing :) Did well with the harsh light and made the best possible image from your location !! I like it a lot !!!

Expression is priceless, it seems like she said something she regretted :)

    Great expression as mentioned.

Fill flash would have reduced the contrast for you here Jared.

Great pose. Is this from this year? Fur seems to be in pretty good shape for so early in the year.

    Steve,

Took this this past Saturday. The females seemed to have nice coats, and the males were ragged.
