Superb wingspread, and very well exposed for looking up to the sky. Great image James.

Very difficult bird to photograph, that head never want to come sharp for some unknown reason.
Looking good and the clouds are a big plus.

    James:

Very nice job on a bird I have trouble making look good. The fill flash is the secret here I think. Nice balance of detail in the blacks, with attractive transillumination of the lighter wing feathers.

Fabs comment about the head makes me wonder, if there is a real tendency to blow the red channel because of the dark body, which results in lack of detail in the head and apparent unsharpness? I will have to look at some of my vulture images with that in mind.

    Randy
