Light was gone, more of a crop then I would have preferred and I was fishing at the time instead of photographing. Even though snail kites are decent size birds I can't explain the illusion with this image that they are this large. Anyone with ideas ? Steroids ?

Lovely wing position and raised tail. The light was better for fishing thus the too dark eyes. The wings are what they are.

    Hey Mike,

Love the wings. I'm not a big fan of this type of cropping but if you like it, so be it! You can also use quick mask to lighten the eyes.
