Default Jupiter Light at Night in HDR Take III

    Attached Images Attached Images

local forecast called for rain and wind all day so i didnt want to drive very far for birds and get disappointed. so i went up to jupiter and shot the lighthouse again. thanks to a couple of guys for setting up their boat to fish right in front of the light!! i was calling them some pretty bad names under my breath, but they made me move and find this composition with the mangrove in it. never would have seen it without them!

three image HDR tonemapped in photomatix pro.

    D300, 18-200 at 32mm, f/16, 1.3s, 5s and 20s, ISO 200.....that would be 0EV, -2EV and -4EV

    thanks for looking. comments appreciated.

Looked at it again and thought about cloning out the light next to the house and maybe the single light to the right of the lighthouse. Just a thought......

Love it Harold ,i did not know that you had to play with the shutter speed as well as the EV for HDR ,or is it something special that you are adding to your HDR images. Again well captured :)

hi glenn, when you change the shutter speed you are effectively changing the EV. not anything special. just that 20s happened to be 0EV, 5s was -2EV and 1.3s was -4EV.

thanks for the comments. richard, i totally agree with removing that light. i see a couple more things i can clean up as well that might help.

Lovely image Harold. I have always wanted to try HDR--I understand it is very difficult to get good results. Do you have any pointers!
