    Default House Sparrow

Created this morning while out looking for Bluebirds, this male was very co-operative and allowed a nice close approach, I wish for a bit more light on his face but took what I could get. Canon 20D w/ 200 F/2.8L, F/5.6 @ 1/1250 sec, ISO 200, Manual Exposure. C & C is welcome as I'm here to learn

Wayne, you've nailed everything here...except the light angle (bummer!). Great comp, BG, and perch. Subject looks good too...but I'm sure the Bluebirds would disagree :-)

Ditto Daniel and the self-critique. Lightening the iris would improve the eye contact and make the face overall look brighter. Lots of fill flash would have been better. As posted, a pano crop from the bottom would yield a more pleasing image.
