These snow geese came in for landing and didn't flap. I'm wondering if you would have preferred no overlap. I don't mind it since they were flying so close to each other.

The purists will want to see the birds not overlapping, but the real world doesn't always give you that chance. I guess the way the lower birds left wing is aligned with its beak is less than ideal, but not a big deal for me. The whites at the top of the lower bird (all the way from behind its head to the end of the white section of the right wing) look too bright to me - but that could be my monitor! If it is my monitor, please tell me.

Was there any cropping done to this? I think I'd like to see more space to the right.

Nice sharp image and getting two birds in frame with similar wing postions is always good. Thanks for posting.

    Dave.

Thanks for your observations, Dave! It is much appreciated.

The whites look good on my monitor, let's see what other people think. I often have the impression that I set my monitors a bit darker than many other people.

I agree regarding the lack of bill/wing separation. I cropped a bit off top and left but could easily add canvas on the right. I decided against it because the birds seem almost suspended in the air.

Axel, The image is sharp with a clean backround. The whites on the top of the birds lack detail. I'm not a purist but would have preferred a separation between the birds and a separation between the lower birds bill and his wing. The placement of the birds look OK to me....

    nice shot Axel.
Does not look too hot here, I took it up to 300% and the faint detail is there
and histo looks right "at" the edge

Overlap does not bother me. I think its great comp and poses. I think you really exposed this well. I opened it in CS3 and only a small part of the back one's wing, the whites are clipped getting a 255. But it does not bother its really small. Just mentioning it. Well done from me

Perfect exposure in my book!! The slight overlap here really works for me. It seems to accentuate their closeness and synchronicity!! The only thing I'd wish for is more seperation between the bill and the far wing on the lower one. Really love the BGand the image overall!!!

Axel, Nice capture! The two together is really nice, IMO they look great so close to each other, it's nice that you got them both sharp. Well done.
