    Wow, aren't that beautiful eyes?
    This is a nearly full frame portrait of an Eurasian Sparrowhawk.

    Canon Mak III / 500mm + Extension Tube (was photographing liitle songbirds...)
    1/250 sec / f 6.3 / ISO 1000
    - 1/3 Exp.Corr.

    Cool portrait and colors. You did very well with the light available. Is this a wild bird? There are some artifacts on the left, probably due to jpg compression.

    Very nice colors, BG, comp and light. No nits for me except for the artifacts that Axel has mentioned. Congratulaitons!

    Thank you for your comments, sorry about the artifacts, that happens sometimes, when I use the jpeg compressor.... too bad!

    Stunning close-up. Sharp where it matters most and yes, those eyes are beautiful.
    It must have been a great surprise for you while photographing songbirds to have this sparrowhawk come so close.
