    Still working on getting the great shot of one of these guys (Black-hooded Parakeet). They tend to stick to the safety of the trees, but one of these days... Meanwhile, here is a shot that gives an idea of the rich colors these birds have.

    Converted in DPP from RAW, adjusted color and sharpened in CS4.

    50D, EF70-200mm f/2.8L IS + 1.4x @ 280mm
    Aperture priority, f/5.6@1/640, evaluative metering EC +2/3 ISO 400 AWB
    AI Servo autofocus using back button, HH, 580EX II FEC 0 E-TTL mode Evaluative

    fantastic colors on this guy!! exposure and sharpness look spot on. i like how the light hit the eye perfectly.

    Very nice colours and I thought you had done a watercolour effect on it. Looks like a painting to me. Well done.
