Hi Denise...The soft colors and tonality in this image are very nice. The composition is also appealing.One thing that draws my eye is the darker outlined area on the bottom. If this was mine I would eliminate it and see if it improves the overall...
Denise, can you share a little more of how you did this? What layers / filters first and so on? It's just beautiful and I have at least two hundred daffodil images that could use something like this!
Julie, First I did a water color effect then outlined the flower w/ the brush tool at approx. 30% opacity-I started in the corner at 100% opacity(that was the area Dave saw) I guess I forgot to go back to it and reduce it-but you can see the difference the opacity makes. Anyway then I made 2 more copies and merged them together overlapping a bit- Then I blended them and added some color at low opacity where needed-The water color effect made a bit of marbling that I liked. Finally I did some cloning touch-up and adjusted the color-Oh I almost forgot I de-saturated one of the layers a bit. Hope that helps.:) Mostly I just treated it like a painting.
