    Default Dancing à-la-Reddish Egret

The first thing that caught my eye when I viewed this image was how the front wing and the splash reflect each others' movement. I am OK with the lack of eye contact here as it looks as if the egret is watching his own "two-step" dancing sequence:)

    Canon 40D + 100-400L @ 170mm, aperture priority, evaluative metering, 1/640s., f7.1, ISO 640, +1.3 EC, handheld, just about full-frame.

    Daniel:

A lovely, graceful image. The splash, wing position, all blend beautifully. Nice exposure. Yes, eye contact is a non issue for this one, at least for me. Maybe a tiny bit more room on the left, if you have it.

    Thanks for sharing.

I like the splash and the detail in the whites here Daniel, if it were mine I might have cropped a little more from the bottom.

Great pose. Reminds me of a kid splashing in a puddle. Agree with a little off the bottom. To just where the leg reflection crosses.

Ditto splash and wing. Super exposure and action. Also would take some off the bottom buti I would also take on the right and give more to the left. I'm sure you can do it. Great shot well done
