    I keep trying to get a presentable photo with multiple birds. This curlew has a couple Marbled Godwits for book ends. I used a gaussian blur to take some of the focus off the godwit in the fg. 50D, 400/5.6 at 5.6, 1/640, EC+.67, ISO400.

    Interesting crop idea, I like the soft light and poses. It needs a bit more contrast and it looks as if you sharpened the bird and immediate surrounding only.

    Thanks for your comments Axel. It was a photo that had some decent attributes. Unfortunately, one it did not have was an aspect of art. You have a tough job! Regards, Dave

    Dave, I like it . It has an artistic look to it. I'm not sure I love the OOF FG bird-but that's just my HO -I do like your idea here and hope to see more.
