Well maybe its not my first otter i shot a tame one a few years ago lol, this one is 100% wild and free. Was coming in for lunch today and my buddy spotted this one down in a creek . So you can imagine my delight only one thing its all down hill and in snow to get there. Well i was down there in a flash lol and then to my horror he dived ,i was just about to leave after about 5 minutes of no activity and up he comes and with lunch Mr frog he he :) have a few more pics but this one is about the best.

    A sweet image Glenn,
I like the capture and action, would have liked to have seen the otter looking your way...I would clone out that branch thats sticking out of the snow on the upper right hand side of the frame...good show...:)

Excellent Glenn Was going to suggest going tighter but sure like the way its framed, about all I can suggest is moving the animal left if you have the room

Either way you got one nice image !!! Love it !!!

Hi Glenn - love the action - agree with Gus - if mr Otter was looking our way this would have been a 10.
Would clone the stick out of the snow - good job :)

    Hi Glenn
Nice capture and good job on the exposure of the dark animal against the snow etc. For my own interest I tried a tighter crop and added more clarity, vibrance and saturation plus a bit more sharpening in ACR in CS3 PS. Since it was on my computer, I thought I'd share this modification just as an alternative.:)
    Cheers

Like the idea of a crop Gail, maybe somewhere in between. Too bad he wasn't looking our way Glenn, tells a story nonetheless. Agree with good exposure too:)

Me again - I think I should have left more on the left - more pano-like.

Wonderful shot. Prefer the tighter crop - it emphasizes the story, and makes it all together a cleaner shot.

    Nice!
