Taken in the Masai Mara - a three month old cub with her mother. She was being introduced to the territory and also to 'the gaze'.
    Critiques welcome.

Thanks, will try to sharpen it as far as my digital knowledge permits - am still learning and sharpening is something I am still hesitant to use to its full extent. However, thanks to input, I am trying to play around more with Lightroom and PS

Sharpening is what it needed. A great family image. You might look up PK Sharpener. It is great for all kinds of images and super support. It has to be run in PS not LR.

Lovely family portrait, they look centered, but the tail needs to be where it is :)
    That little kitty is priceless!

Lovely family picture. It is always a nice sight to see such young kids. A higher sharpness would make it better. Is this a cropped image?

    Cheers,

Thanks for all your comments - it's obvious shall have to overcome my hesitation in sharpening pictures, I'm afraid to oversharpen. Shall look up PK sharpener.
The picture is slightly cropped, we were able to get pretty near.
    Cheers!

Love the pose of the mother and kittten. Looks as though the atmospheric heat waves of midday gave you the sharpness problems. The high light angle prevented you from getting catchlights in the cheetahs eyes.

What a great sighting Deborah. I just love the inquisitive look from both of them. Super comp, and the mom stands out nicely from the BG. Great capture.
