    Default Water Rail

I´m quite happy with this shot of the "hard-to-get-in-the-open" Water Rail (Rallus aquaticus) despite the busy surroundings. Taken last weekend in a small stream in the outskirts of Stockholm, Sweden.

    D700, 600/4 VR, f/10, 1/100, ISO 1000, -0.7, fill @ -3.0, croped to vertical.

    Thanks for watching

Nice colors! I do like it just as it is, but I'd also be tempted to clone out the bit of vegetation that intersects with the body and tone down some of the brighter reflections.

Nicely detailed with good color. I agree with Jim on the plant. I like the clarity of the water in his reflection.
