I must confess to not doing anywhere near enough landscapes - always get pre occupied with the subject I am shooting and forget about the bigger picture.

Anyway - Guess this is a landscape although not your conventional one I guess - taken at night and with a 10.5mm fisheye - always looking to find something a little different.

I didn't want a lot of DOF - was trying to get a soft painting type effect.

    Comments more than welcome.

    Excellent composition Mr. Peters,
I like the fish-eye perspective...this 10.5mm is a sweet little lens, you can come up with some pretty interesting images with it. I like the bright colors and the reflection in the water...good show...

    Hi Lance,
You guys are sure keeping me busy today.......I do like the perspective here and I don't mind the lean the buildings get because of the WA effect.....but not everyones cup of tea. I'm a sucker for huge DOF....as I like what it does to bright lights with the starburst......but since you were going for the painterly look.....it is fine. I may go into the water and try to bring it up a hair.....and Blur it???.....to further enhance the painterly feel. I was debating the central post in the FG......conventionally, placing it dead center would have seemed to be the way to go......but I like it's placement here.....let's the right side wrap your eye around the image and bring you back along the LH side. Only recommendation....but you may have not been able to without risking life.....step back a hair for a bit more room at the top...as the talles building seems a bit snug....even for me. Adding a bit of canvas is an easy option. Very nice on controlling the night exposure also....not always the easiest thing with cityscapes. Nicely done!
