Scott, beautiful breeding colors on this bird! Great eye contact and pose, too, despite the gesture. :) I'd suggest a some noise reduction on the background. You can also size your image up to 800 pixels on the vertical side.

Hi Scott !! That is one cool looking bird Full breeding plumage !!! Do like the pose a lot and I think you might be right about the gesture :)

btw besides Beth's suggestion for noise reduction you might want to sharpen only the bird which is what I normally do. If there is any noise left you don't want to sharpen it !!! We got lots of tutorials in for selective sharpening !!
