    I captured this willing subject while out looking for something completely different. He was posing so nicely I couldn't pass up the opportunity. They are just coming into breeding plumage in this area and this one shows that nicely.

    I love the expression here Tim, especially those blue eyes. The bird's pose is good as is the head angle and eye contact. I would have preferred a more uniform BG. This could have been accomplished by going either higher or lower, however I realize this might have made you lose this pose.

    Tim,
    I would have tried to move a little bit higher. I like the expression. I would have preferred a bit of higher dof. So would have tried f8. Thanks for sharing.

    Great exposure pose and comp. Line I bg going through head not the best. Still great shot love the eyes
