    Default Florida Scrub Jay

1DM2n, 600mm... Full Frame... Cruickshank Sanctuary

I decided to post one "artsy/strange" image, and then one "normal/profile" photo from my Florida Trip, to not scare anyone away by posting all strange ones! These Jays were my very last visit in Florida, and I didn't even see the photos until I got home 1.5 days later. This was an early favourite of these beautiful and fun birds!

I've been writing a bit about my trip to Florida (facts, routes, locations etc), which can be seen at the below link:
http://www.peregrineprints.com/zzzzA..._Florida09.htm (edit: I should say that this is a work in progess!)

I've also decided to write a bit about each location, so below is my trip to Cruickshank Sanctuary where I got the above photo!

I can write quickly when motivated (note I said quickly, not well)... But I hope you enjoy it if you take a look!

    Happy Shooting!

Pose and BG are great. The bird looks a bit oversharpened and I would remove the branch sticking out of the chest and the one on the left.

    Brandon:

A beautiful bird. I do agree with Axels comments on the sharpening and sticks.

    Keep them coming.

Really a very pleasing pose and composition but I find it to be a tad over saturated on my monitor and agree with Axel's comments Glad you enjoyed your trip to Florida and thanks for sharing Brandon.
