I'm told it's almost time to say goodbye to these little fellows for a little while. As I just started photography late December, it has been a joy to see these guys and practice on them.
Was lucky enough to capture him on a beautiful early sunny morning.
Very nicely done! The colors of BG, bird and perch are composed excellently.
I would crop tighter to get rid of the lower left mass of the perch.
Also the pale OOF band to the right of the bird is a bit distracting,
could you fix it in PS?
The pose is one of the difficult ones, but you did great.
hi natalie, a crop off the bottom and equal crop off the right and the compo will be a bit stronger. i might add a little more sharpening to the bird also. beautiful light and exposure. well done!!
Hi Natalie,
I like your image and capture...agree with the good advise given in reference to the techs. I would suggest on selective sharpening the eye just a tad more...I like it...good show...
Beautiful image Natalie Particularly like the mood and feel !!! Agree with going tighter, it is a beautiful bird and you want to minimize the perch and maximize the bird !!! Big Congrats !!!
Thank you very much for your critiques. Please find following a re crop of the picture:
I took some off the bottom and the right side. Also sharpened it up a bit. Do not have PS yet so cannot selectively sharpen the eye. Am looking forward to getting it.
Thanks again for looking and your comments. Very much appreciated.
You will notice a huge difference once you have gotten Photoshop. There are so many fine adjustments you will be able to do. This is wonderful, beautiful background and nice eye contact with the bird turning back to look at you. Well done with the tighter cropping as well. Thanks for sharing.
