Question Syncronzing the date/time on Nikon D2x(s)es

I've spent the last 45 minutes digging though Google searches and I'm coming up blank. Is it possible through Nikon Transfer, or some other program, to set the date and time on the D2x and D2xs bodies from a Windows computer? We tried Nikon Transfer 1.3.1 for Windows, which didn't have a problem with a D700 but wouldn't sync either of the D2s.

Canon has a utility so that the camera can be controlled from the computer - doesn't Nikon have a similar program, if so it comes with the camera. I synchronize all my bodies that way, helps sort images when shooting from different cameras. See if a similar program came with your camera.

We already tried that, Nikon Transfer claims it will synchronize the clocks of cameras that support it--though I can't seem to find what those are; and that worked with the D700 we tried it with, but not the D2x or D2xs. I guess at this point, I'm trying to find out if this is an incompatibility with the version we used or if the function isn't supported on the bodies in question. We used version 1.3.1 though, I guess it might be worth trying to find the version that shipped with the cameras and trying that.

Until then, if anybody knows if this is supported and if so what version of Nikon Transfer is necessary I'd appreciate it.

Jason, i also tried using Transfer to sync a D300 and D200 for wedding use. it was a no go.

eventually i just sat down with the two bodies and manually got them within a second of each. worked well for my purpose.

Scott, which version of Nikon Transfer did you use?

It looks like Nikon has released another new version since I started this thread (1.4.0).
