    Hey Joe,
A bit early for these guys in Jersey still.....but you got the juices flowing just thinking about it. Nice and sharp and the BG is sweet (although maybe a hair of NR on it).......my preference is to have more room where the bird is looking.....but then you would have had to deal with all the room behind the bird because of the perch....catch 22. All in all nicely done.

What a beauty, Joe. There seem to be two catchlights, one of which is Blue? Confuses my eye a bit.

Not sure why Grace. Only used 1 flash and didn't touch the eye in post.

Very nicely done, except that you have the negative space in the wrong end of the bird. It would be better if he was looking into the picture. Although his body is facing west, his head is facing east :)

Beautiful vivid plumage and smooth bg, I find the whites a bit bright

I like the pose, eye contact and BG. It does look a bit overflashed. I would desaturate a few points, run NR on the BG and remove the blueish catchlight. It might also work as vertical crop.

I think the comp is a catch 22. So maybe try putting him dead centre. But also I would say I like as is. Great looking bird. Great bg and exposure is well done
