Form this morning at ENP Shark Valley !! Activity was low but enough to make it interesting. Concentrated on birds flying up and down the canal, tricky exposure since you have alternating areas of light and shadow.

One side note which made the day interesting .... a cyclist ran over an alligator's tail then crashed into incoming bicycle traffic. Injuries were reported and fire-rescue was called to the scene. Alligator was unharmed and had no reaction to accident !!!

    Comments welcome and much appreciated

... not really Harold I was set up in manual and for the shaded area, once the bird got to the sunlit part it was toast !!! The working areas were only a few feet in length. Later in the day when the sun cleared the trees it was all sun but too harsh for photographing.

Alfred, I really like the wing blur here-This is a very artistic image-Nicely done!
Love the Alligator story-I wondered if anyone ever ran their tails over!

I like this. Nice and soft (but not in a negative way) making for a dreamy feel. The gaze also looks like the bird is pensive about something.

Is it easy to ride a bike over an alligator's tail at Shark Valley? I hope the rider was ok and am glad the animal wasn't injured. Not surprised as they look like pure muscle to me.

Great exposure and the movement is super. Like the fact that the head is looking this way. Also great bg. Only nit from me would be that I would have liked the head to be on its own and not with the wing behind it. But that's mw

Love the simplicity, the pose with the head against the far wing, and the degree of wing-tip blur. This is a very artistic image.
