    early morning spoonbills real close to the holiday inn parking lot at little estero lagoon. it was nice to spend a little time before they went off to feed for the day.

    D300, Bigma at 370mm, f/6.3, 1/320s, 0EV, ISO 200

    Great background and reflection. The spoonie seems a bit bright. You said it was early morning, so I assume it wasn't harsh midday overhead light, and it may have thus been a bit overexposed.

    Yes, son, there's a few ht pixels in the neck, for this type BG you needed to go way under, hot spot may be in the post-processing?
    Gorgeous color palette and reflection, my eyes feel it needs some CW rotation. Try eye to eeye (reflection) for straightening.

    Hi Harold. I think Judy M. introduced us on the boardwalk at Wakodahatchee. Nice to see an image from another location. The only area that looks a bit hot on your spoonie is where the neck joins the body and it doesn't look too bad. I think you should be able to recover it in the RAW conversion. Otherwise, the light and the faint water reflection on the feathers is pretty. The eye contact is good, too. I do wish for a lower angle but if I recall the area where you may have been standing, that would not be possible.

    Lower angle = No reflection

    Harold, I love the composition and the reflection-the colors are fantastic-techs have already been covered.

    Recover those whites.....and this one is a beaut! Great use of the reflected green water at Estero!
