    Default Magpie

    Hi

I have been feeding a site daily for a couple of weeks en route to work. The purpose of thisis to get some flight photographs of Jays. So far success with the jays has been limited as they are proving difficult but a steady stream of magpies keeps the shutter finger busy while I wait. This bird just putting on the air brakes as it comes in to the feed.

    Taken with 1Dmk3 and 300mm F4 lens ay ISO 400 F4.5 -0.67EV and 1/2500s.

    Cheers

    Excellent exposure control

You'll get the Jay. I know you will.

    See you soon.

Perfect pose! Soft side light is hurting the right side of the face a bit, easy to select and do a small curve lifting to even the black to the rest.

    Excellent done!

A Shot that I have always wanted. I agree the Jay would be pretty good especially in this pose.
