    Default Golden- Crowned Kinglet

I captured this little guy on my lunch today at work. No time to set up--just fired away, not knowing where the camera was set. We certainly did not have bright blue skies here in Seattle today, so I will leave it up to your imagination as to what the background is.
    A bit of motion blur...:)

You did very well here for a grab shot Bonnie!! Cute little bird and sharp where it counts. Certainly looks like a nice blue sky to me except for the lighter band running vertically down the left side.

Beautiful detail and composition. Is the blue background a car?

    Thank you, Arlene.
I am embarrassed to say it was a shipping container (like what goes on a truck):o

You did a great job on this little guy. His golden crown really shows well. I like the hanging pose.

Great pose and open beak. How did you arrange to get that pretty container in the BG. :) The plumage looks a tad oversharpened on my monitor.

Lovely image. Agree with the comments above, esp. re: the need for a slight head turn. Have a Bald Eagle head portrait from Homer with a bright RED semi in the BKGR... We need more of those types of things in the right places...

    later and love, artie

A sweet little bird well taken. The container doesn't bother me a bit, it actually makes quite a pleasant BG.

Hey Bonnie, But the container worked as a great background! Better a clean BG than one with distractions.

Lovely Image. Especially the detail. I like it a lot.
