    Exophthalmus quindecimpunctatus. San Juan, Puerto Rico. Photographed inside a Lightbox and later released. The box was lighted with two 60 watt daylight bulbs, one 800 watt automotive garage light. No flash was used. Camera was on tripod with remote release and raised mirror. Canon 50D, Canon 100mm macro, ISO 100, f/25 for 5 secs.

    Wow, the insect stayed still for 5 secs exposure - lucky !
    Might increase the contrast & colour saturation on the insect a wee bit.

    I agree...take up the contrast and give it a good round of sharpening. It is nicely composed but it has a soft feel overall.

    I have to agree. the insect looks flat to me.
