    Masi Mara image. This is the same ostrich as the previous post. Light is pretty hot, but head-on was too funny to pass up. C and C welcome, I'm here to learn. Thanks for looking. - John

    I do think the head on view is particularly effective with ostriches (sp?). I like the sharpness and background.

    The light, being above and too your left really is problem as you mentioned. The shadowing of the eyes, and the very dark shadow on the neck is a pretty big handicap for this image.

    Thanks for sharing. Fill flash if possible in this situation might have opened up the shadows significantly.

    I like the perspective, BG and details but the shadow on the neck is a bit distracting.
