Welcoming all to Wakodahatchee. Actually, I think he was just yawning. :) I need to go back to read Artie's eye doctor instructions because the ad hoc method I tried really didn't work well.

I like the chosen comp, and the pose of the Anhinga. Good exposure and sharpness. For me, two things would improve the aesthetics of the image: 1) removal of the central vertical leafless twig, 2) filling in the bright spots in the BG with some adjacent "green". Of course that is if this is within your personal ethics :-) Well done!

    Hahaha, great caption!

I like the cross diagonals framing the bird and the pose. Daniel has a point about the center branch and the white spots, that would leave enough habitat to make it interesting. The hairdo looks intense.

Agree with suggestions and glad your going for the larger picture .. no pun intended !!! Find these more difficult but so rewarding !!! I like it a lot !!!

A real fine image. I like the different comp. you used here.

Thanks, everyone! LOL Daniel, I had already removed the top portion of that vertical stick as it came very close to the bill. I'll do some more work on that as well as on those bright spots.
