    Default Oceanic White Tip Shark

    Hi all
I am more into underwater photography, but love all wildlife, and have a few bird pics as well ;)

    Thanks Ken

Welcome to BPN Ken. I like the curvature of the body - implies motion and adds dynamics to the image.

The pic was taken with a 20D & 17-40L in a Ikalite housing using 1 strobe (can't afford a 2nd one at the min)
Shot in Manual at ISO 200 f8 1.50th in Raw

A link to the story behind the photo + a few more

Ken, I love the curve in his body and the little fish swimming w/ him. Nice colors also!

    Beautiful (and a bit crazy ;) )

I really like the cool blues contrasted by the warmer light on the nose. Well done!

Looks a bit noisy at ISO200, but what a great 1st post. We don't see that many underwater images down here, so please keep 'm coming! The other fish really balance the shark well.

Man! I cannot see the image, but the thumbnail kicks butt! :) I love sharks and the OW is one of my faves. Hats off to ya if you were mad enough to photograph out of a cage. These guys are wicked and unpredictable. Just freakin' eating machines, that's all. :)

BTW the 'little' fish are Pilot Fish.
